Robberies are quite common in Toronto, but one man did not seem to give a care in the world when he violently hit a woman in the head and then snatched her purse; all in broad daylight.
On Tuesday at around 12:50 p.m., a man was reportedly following a woman in the Danforth Avenue and Bowden Avenue area.
The suspect suddenly came up behind her and struck her in the back of her head with an unknown item. He then forcefully snatched her purse and fled the scene, going northbound.
The woman sustained multiple injuries to the head including a concussion. She required medical care at the time of the incident and is now receiving treatment due to the robbery.
The police are asking for help in identifying and catching the suspect. He is described as 5’9″, with short grey hair, in his 50’s and has a slim build. He was last seen wearing a dark blue jacket with white-coloured stripes down both sleeves.
