Two Babies Who Died 30 Years Ago Got Married In India Because Spirits Who Don’t Tie The Knot Apparently Bring Bad Luck To Their Families And Are Restless

Two babies who died three decades ago got married in India, thanks to a ceremony initiated by the parents of the bride and groom.

The newly married couple was not in the room, except for their clothing, which was used during the seven-step Hindu marriage ritual.

This was taken care of by family members who were reportedly very joyous about the union.

“We are marrying off our eldest son soon, however before that, we wanted our deceased daughter to get married so that she will be happy and bless the family going forward,” the bride’s mother, Jayanthi Kulal told VICE.

Although uncommon to many, locals believe that people who pass on at a young age before having the chance to get married later in life can become restless spirits.

What’s more, they believe this can bring bad luck to families.

According to the report, clothing or dolls that represent the dead individual can be used during the ceremony.

It’s also with the help of priests and astrologers that dead children are matched.
