More Than Half Of Canadians Think The Border Should Be Closed For Awhile Because Of The Omicron Variant, Survey Says

Looks like Canadians have spoken and over half believe it’s a good idea to shut the border due to the Omicron variant.

According to a recent poll by Leger, 65% of people think the Canadian border should be closed for a “period of time” as the latest variant has already made its way around the world.

But that is not all, 87% of Canadians want to also go back to mandatory testing for all travellers entering the country.

What’s more, residents also want to bring back some social distancing rules in specific social settings.

With everything going on, Canadians say they want to be protected more than ever.

As a result, 64% want COVID-19 vaccines to be mandatory for all residents of their nation because of Omicron, excluding infants and those with medical restrictions.
