Killa Tee is quickly becoming a rising name in Toronto’s music scene. After falling in love with music, she decided in 2020 she wanted to be an artist. The following year in March 2021, she officially began releasing music.
Since she was five, Killa Tee has been passionate about studying and performing music. Influenced by Alicia Keys, she grew up playing the piano and even graduated from the well-respected Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.
As she got older, she started to become influenced by her older brothers and their love of hip-hop.
Now releasing music on her own, Killa is inspired by the superstar women rappers that came before her. On her brand new single “Topic” she incorporates a hard-hitting sound that is sure to capture your attention.
“Topic” features powerful 808’s and a well-spaced drum pattern that allows the artists to shine at the forefront. Throughout the song, the producers 210 and Zeros, include a catchy piano melody that compliments the rest of the sound.
In the new single, Killa Tee is very literal about how she feels. She raps about her success, her influence, and the confidence she has in herself. The single’s hook is infectious and proves that she has the ability to make hit songs.
Accompanying the single release is an official music video that is out now.
Directed by The Knemesis, the “Topic” music video starts off with the artist making her presence felt in an important corporate meeting. As she begins winning over the crowd, the music video cuts through shots of the artist’s lavish lifestyle. She’s also flexing in stunning Toronto locations, including the legendary Kilani jewellery shop.
