Hidden Gems: Golde London And GizzleStarrMade, Toronto’s Very Own Bonnie & Clyde, Dropped Visuals For New Single ‘HOW CAN I’

Golde London is amongst the impressive list of Toronto women that are on their way to the top of the city’s rap game. Since she was 13, Golde was motivated to be the best artist she could be.

In 2021, Golde decided to take her career to the next level and increase her release output. So far this year she has already released four huge singles to streaming platforms. In the three years prior, she only put out three official releases.

Golde London’s newest song features her partner and fellow artist, GizzleStarrMade. The two have worked together several times in the past, however, it seems that their chemistry is still getting better. Their new single is titled “HOW CAN I” and is their most triumphant collaboration yet. To accompany the single, they have also released an official music video.

The new song starts with a mesmerizing synth sample before we hear modern-drill elements. GizzleStarrMade has the first verse and is also first to sing the catchy and melodic hook. When he sings it, he makes sure to shout out Golde. When she sings it later in the song, she switches the words to praise Gizzle.

Behind the artist, vocals are bending 808’s, hard drums, and of course the drill-influenced hi-hat pattern.

Golde London takes over the song at the 1:52 mark. After tweaking the hook to show love to Gizzle, she shines with an impressive rap verse that is filled with confident bars about her humble beginnings and her current success. Both artists make it clear that there is no way for them to lose because of what they had to go through to get here.

The “HOW CAN I” music video was taken care of by popular Toronto-based video director The Knemesis. The video is high energy and just like the song, we see both artists rapping and performing in front of dramatic backdrops. First, in a neon-covered warehouse, then as the beat drops, in front of a beautiful Rolls Royce and giant flames.
