Due to the continued lockdowns and restrictions across the country, Canada lost a whopping 68,000 jobs in May as the unemployment rate rose to 8.2 percent. Ontario and Nova Scotia took the biggest hit when it came to unemployment rates. In fact, Ontario rose from 9 to 9.3 percent and Nova Scotia 8.1 to 9.8 percent.
