A Shooting At A Boston Pizza Parking Lot In Scarborough Left One Man In His 40s Dead

One man is dead following a shooting that occurred in a restaurant parking lot in Scarborough late Wednesday night.

The incident occurred at a Boston Pizza parking lot, on Cinemart Drive, which is located nearby Morningside and Sheppard avenues, roughly around 11:30 p.m.

Officers that arrived at the scene found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was transported to a trauma centre for treatment, but later died.

The victim is believed to be in his 40s, police say. No information has been released on potential suspects.

Const. Laura Brabant revealed that the homicide unit has taken over the investigation. She also revealed that officers will be canvassing the area for video surveillance from business establishments, but also that they are relying heavily on the public for assistance in the investigation.

It was not confirmed whether the restaurant was open at the time, but Boston Pizza’s website states that the Cinemart location is open until midnight.
