York Regional Police Revives Operation 'Beehave' to Tackle Disruptive Incidents at Canada's Wonderland

York Regional Police have relaunched their ''Operation Beehave'' initiative in response to multiple incidents of disruptive behaviour at Canada's Wonderland.

The latest operation was launched after a series of swarming-style robberies and other crimes occurred earlier this year and will now focus on reports of disruptive behaviour in the area surrounding the amusement park.

On May 6th, an outbreak of violence occurred between young guests at Canada's Wonderland, resulting in several arrests.

Multiple videos posted to social media showed security officers and uniformed police officers putting two teens in handcuffs as they lay stomach-down on the ground, surrounded by a large crowd of mostly young bystanders.

In a statement regarding the incident, Grace Peacock, director of communications for Canada's Wonderland, said that ''a number of guests were removed from the park due to unruly behaviour and altercations.''

As part of Operation Beehave, officers are investigating these reports, and criminal charges may be laid if warranted. York Regional Police note that this enforcement is necessary to ensure public safety and enjoyment for all visitors to Canada's Wonderland.
