The GTA police forces join forces under Project ERASE to crack down on street racing

The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) has been facing a growing problem with illegal street racing, and police forces in the area have joined together to launch Project ERASE. This targeted operation aims to combat this dangerous activity.

Deputy Chief Marc Andrews of the Peel Regional Police Service spoke at a recent press conference about the collaborative effort between Peel Regional Police, York Regional Police, Durham Regional Police, and Toronto Police Services to develop a comprehensive action plan for Project ERASE.

According to Deputy Chief Andrews, "Established in 1999, Project ERASE provides a targeted and educational component to address the rise of illegal street racing in the GTA,".

He also noted that they are seeking assistance from members of the public who may have information about any illegal street racing activities in their neighbourhoods.
