Killer Convicted Of Murder Manages To Escape From Federal Penitentiary In Kingston

Police are searching for a 42-year-old convicted murderer who escaped from the minimum-security unit of the Collins Bay Institution, a federal prison in Kingston, Ontario.

The Correctional Service of Canada reported that the individual was discovered missing during their formal count on Tuesday and contacted Kingston Police immediately to issue a warrant for his arrest.

The service is currently investigating the escape and working with police to locate him as soon as possible.




The man is serving an indeterminate sentence for second-degree murder at the multi-level federal prison and has been described as about 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, with short brown hair, a receding hairline, blue eyes, a pockmarked face and glasses.
