Iconic Grammy-winning singer Tina Turner passes away at 83, leaving the world to mourn music's legend

Renowned musical icon, Tina Turner, has died at the age of 83. A statement released by the family confirms that she passed on peacefully at her residence, and read,

"The globe has lost an exceptional model and a legendary figure in music."


There will be a private funeral ceremony for Tina, which will be limited to only close friends and family members.

Tina, originally named Anna Mae Bullock, was born on November 26, 1939, in the little town of Nutbush, Tennessee, United States. The gifted singer shot to fame during the late 60s as the lead vocalist of the famed Ike & Turner Revue. She later embarked on a fruitful solo career that took the world by storm.


Throughout her illustrious music journey, Tina gifted her fans with numerous unforgettable hits such as 'What's Love Got To Do With It', 'Private Dancer', and 'The Best'.

Over her five-decade-long career, the hardworking legend performed in countless sold out shows across numerous stadiums worldwide, setting a benchmark in the entertainment industry.

Just last year, Tina shared her grief with her fans over the heartbreaking loss of her son, Ronnie. With her passing, the world will remember this remarkable woman who captivated millions with her powerful voice and passion for music.
