Harry and Meghan Narrowly Escape Disaster in "Near Catastrophic" Car Chase

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and her mother, Doria Ragland, were recently involved in a harrowing car chase on the streets of New York City. According to a spokesperson for the Prince, the pursuit by paparazzi lasted over two hours and resulted in near collisions with other drivers, pedestrians and even police officers.

The incident occurred after the royal couple attended an awards ceremony hosted by the Ms. Foundation Women of Vision Awards on Tuesday of this week. Although the New York Police Department (NYPD) has yet to confirm knowledge of the event, it is believed that the relentless pursuit began shortly afterwards.

The statement released by Prince Harry's spokesperson expressed concern over images being taken without permission or regard for anyone's safety.

"While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone's safety," the spokesperson said.

"Dissemination of these images, given the ways in which they were obtained, encourages a highly intrusive practice that is dangerous to all in involved."

The incident marks the first public appearance of the couple since the King's Coronation earlier this month.

Prince Harry and Meghan have been outspoken in their pursuit for more privacy, a fact made resoundingly clear through this most recent event. The pair has yet to make any official statements about the incident or press charges.
