46 People Were Killed In Bulgaria Including A Dozen Children After A Bus Crashed And Exploded Into Flames On A Highway

On Tuesday, A bus carrying many passengers crashed and exploded on the highway in Bulgaria. Forty-six people have been confirmed dead.

Local authorities say that 52 people were on the bus including many children. It has been reported that 12 children were killed in the explosion.

According to Reuters, most of the victims were North Macedonia tourists.

Several people were left with severe burns and lacerations and are now being cared for in hospital. Witnesses have reportedly said that many survivors were sitting in the back of the bus and managed to escape through a broken window.

“It is a terrible tragedy because many of them are children,” North Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev told reporters.
